Google location accuracy
Google's location accuracy uses various sources, such as Wi-Fi networks, cellular networks and sensors, to determine the location of the OnePlus smartphone and improve your GPS positioning.
Google also collects anonymous location data to improve location accuracy.
If the feature is disabled, the location is determined only by the internal GPS in the device and affects the accuracy in Find Maps and Find My Device.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Location
- Tap on Advanced
- Tap on Google Location Accuracy
- Enable or disable Improve Location Accuracy
Location (GPS)
The location of the OnePlus smartphone is enabled by default to provide us with all kinds of services, such as regional weather, or to perform app-related functions, such as navigation.
Note: The location can be (de)activated at any time in the settings or via the quick settings of the status bar.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Location
- Enable or disable Use location
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning
In order to get a more accurate position in the location determination, the OnePlus smartphone uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth search as standard.
This allows apps and services to always search for Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices, even if the functions are disabled.
The search via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be turned on/off at any time and independently of each other.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Location
- Tap on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning
- Enable or disable Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth scanning
Location usage of apps
For each app installed on the OnePlus smartphone, we can individually determine if and when the location (GPS) can be accessed and used.
In doing so, the access of apps to the location is classified into the following categories:
- Allowed all the time
- Allowedonly while in use
- Denied

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Location
- Tap on App permissions
- Choose an app
- Choose Allow all the time, Allow only while using the app or Deny
Emergency Location Service (ELS)
If ELS (Emergency Location Service) is supported in the region, the OnePlus smartphone automatically sends the location when an emergency call is made.
If Google Location Services are disabled, ELS can temporarily enable them during an emergency call to provide additional information to rescue workers about where the SOS or emergency call was sent from.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Location
- Tap on Advanced
- Tap on Emergency Location Service
- Enable or disable Send ELS Location
