Home screen loop

By default, the home screen can be set to go to the first or last page at most, but in the LG's home screen settings, the Home Screen Loop function can be enabled, which automatically switches from the last page to the first page, and then the pages on the home screen can be scrolled in an endless loop.

Note: This feature can only be used if the Google Feed is disabled.

Lock Home screen layout

On the home screen of the LG device, app shortcuts and widgets can be moved around by simply tapping and holding, but this happens unintentionally from time to time. Once you have set up your home screen, you can lock it in the preferences, which means that you can't edit/change the home screen as long as the option is enabled.

Google Feed

The left side of the main screen displays the Google Feed by default, which includes a search bar and current news headlines from the Google Feed. You can enable or disable the Google Feed in the Home screen settings.

Add page

you can't add blank pages on the home screen of your LG device, so there's no button to create them. to add a page on the home screen, you need to move an app shortcut, folder or widget. only then can you create a page. if you remove the last item from the page, the page will automatically disappear from the home screen.

Grid Size

On the LG device, apps and widgets are displayed on the home screen at a 5x5 grid. This means that five app links can be placed in five rows. Alternatively, the following grid sizes can be selected for the home screen:

  • 4x4
  • 4x5
  • 4x6
  • 5x5

Transition effect

Pages on the home screen are moved to the side by default on the LG device. In addition to this wipe effect, the LG user interface also offers other effects. The following are available to choose from

  • Page
  • Breeze Effect
  • Panorama
  • Carousel Effect

Note: The pages on the home screen can also be operated in an endless loop.

Browse

The LG device has a search feature to browse apps and personal content, which can be opened by "wiping down" on the home screen.

This search can also be disabled in the settings.

Set Default Panel

If there are multiple pages on the LG's home screen, you can set one of them as the default page, and when you start the device or press the Home button, the page set as the default is displayed.

Icon shape

Symbols are displayed on the LG device with the contour of a rounded square, and the symbols, i.e. the app links, can also be displayed in original or with a round or cylindrical contour.
