Access Point Name (APN)

By default, the APN data is automatically installed on the LG device via the SIM card or network, but if the configuration has not been completed correctly or has not been done at all, the access point (APN) can also be added manually on the LG device.

Note: In some cases, after adding the APN data, the LG device must be restarted.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Mobile networks
Step 3:  Tap on  Access Point Names
Step 4:  Open the  Menu
Step 5:  Tap on  Add APN
Step 6:  Enter all required  data
Step 7:  Open the  Menu
Step 8:  Tap on  Save

  3. Tap on Access Point Names
  4. Open the Menu
  5. Tap on Add APN
  6. Enter all required data
  7. Open the Menu
  8. Tap on Save

Delete APN

Incorrectly created or superfluous APN data (access points) can be quickly and easily deleted in the menu; the standard APN cannot be removed from the LG device.

Step 2:  Tap on  Mobile networks
Step 3:  Tap on  Access Point Names
Step 4:  Tap on desired  APN
Step 5:  Open the  Menu
Step 6:  Tap on  Delete APN
Step 7:  Confirm with  Delete

  5. Open the Menu
  6. Tap on Delete APN
  7. Confirm with Delete

Network mode

Depending on the device model, a 2G, 3G or 4G (LTE) network is supported, and a preferred network mode can be selected on the LG device accordingly.

Step 3:  Tap on  Network mode
Step 4:  Choose desired  network mode

Private DNS

requests to the internet always go through a DNS server. by default, this is always the provider where the website or service is located. however, these DNS servers are often overloaded which can lead to a slower internet connection. on the LG device we can use either an automatic DNS or a private DNS of a provider.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Private DNS
Step 3:  Choose between  Off ,  Automatic  and  Private DNS provider hostname
Step 4:  Confirm with  Save

  2. Tap on Private DNS
  3. Choose between OffAutomatic and Private DNS provider hostname
  4. Confirm with Save

Select network manually

In addition to the automatic network search, the LG unit can also select the network manually, and once the network has been selected manually, it will not switch to another network if reception is also lost.

Depending on the environment and model, the network search can take a long time.

Select network automatically

To ensure the best possible reception on your LG, it is recommended that you let the network be selected automatically. The LG always prefers to use the home network. If reception is too weak or breaks down, the device can also dial into a foreign network.

Note: This function should be used with caution near the border, especially with Switzerland; even in your home country, the device may be able to dial into a network in the neighboring country and may cause additional costs.

Virtual Private Network

A Virtual Private Network offers many application possibilities for companies as well as private users. With a VPN it is possible, among other things, to encrypt data, to bypass location restrictions or to conceal traces on the Internet. Any VPN server can also be added on the LG.

Note: To add a VPN, a lock screen must be set up.

Step 3:  Tap on  Add
Step 4:  Enter all required  data  and confirm with  Save
