Archive conversations

If you want to hide conversations, we can move them to the archive on the LG smartphone, so the news (entire conversation) will no longer be visible on the app's home screen. The archive can be accessed via the menu, where you can also remove the conversations from the archive.

Android 9 (LG UX 9.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Messages -App
Step 2:  Tap on desired  Conversation
Step 3:  Open the  Menu
Step 4:  Tap on  Archive

  3. Open the Menu
  4. Tap on Archive

Delete a conversation

In addition to individual messages, an entire conversation can be deleted from the LG smartphone, and once a conversation is removed, it cannot be restored.

Android 9 (LG UX 9.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Messages -App
Step 2:  Tap on desired  Conversation
Step 3:  Open the  Menu
Step 4:  Tap on  Delete
Step 5:  Confirm with  Delete

Delete an individual message

In addition to all the entertainment, LG smartphone also allows you to delete a single message (SMS). You can remove received or even sent messages from the device, but please note that the messages are only removed on your own device and not on the recipient's.

Step 1:  Open the  Messages -App
Step 2:  Tap on desired  Conversation
Step 3:  Tap an hold  message  you want
Step 4:  Tap on  Delete
Step 5:  Confirm with  Delete

Mark all messages as read

To mark a message as read it is sufficient to open the conversation; if several messages (SMS) have been received in different conversations, all messages can be marked as read via the menu.

Messages on SIM card

The SIM card can contain messages (SMS) that cannot be called up on the normal overview of the SMS app. The messages on the SIM card can be viewed and managed (deleted etc.) via the menu.

Step 4:  Tap on desired  SIM card
Step 5:  Tap on  SIM card messages
