On my redmi 9 split screen doesn't work while using gestures

You'll have to set a button shortcut to enable split screen mode. Please follow the steps below.

- Tap on Settings
- Tap on Additional settings
- Tap on Button shortcuts
- Tap on Open Split screen
- Choose Long press the Home / Menu / Back button
I prefer gestures, is there no way to use split screen while using gestures
Before the android 11 update I can access split screen while using gestures

Hi, didn't want to start a new thread. Just recently got the new Miui 12.5 I'm unable to find the Split Screen and Floating Window options, with gestures on and off. Tried changing region settings as in previous versions some regions have more features than others. Please assist with fix or app recommendations.
Alright, I found the Split screen setting but still struggling to turn on Floating windows. The Split Screen setting is hidden so you have to search for "buttons" then enable the button. All this is a tedious and was straight forward in Miui 12.
