With MIUI 12.5, the Xiaomi smartphone offers a new feature for the lock screen: the Wallpaper carousel. The wallpaper is changed automatically in time intervals. The user is offered the option to choose their own pictures from a folder or to use wallpapers from Xiaomi's official theme store.

With the update from MIUI 12.5, the wallpaper carousel is automatically activated, which is immediately noticeable with a notification on the lock screen. However, the background carousel can be disabled or customized in the settings after unlocking the smartphone.
