I can send gifs no problem, but when I receive them they only come in as pics.

What should I do

You could try enabling automatic content download if it hasn't already been done.

Hi,

Yes Auto - download MMS is on. I have only noticed this problem with Text Messages

If the problem only occurs with "normal" text messages, it must be due to the app.

Unfortunately I can't check for myself if there is a function that activates an automatic "playback" for the recieved content.

Has the app been checked for updates or even reinstalled?
