To protect our stored data, such as contacts, SMS messages, photos or videos on the OnePlus smartphone from unauthorized access, we can always set up a screen lock, which is requested each time the device is unlocked.

We can choose between the following methods of unlocking the screen lock:

After setup, we are also asked if all content should be displayed on the lock screen or if sensitive content should be hidden.

Android 10 | OxygenOS 10.0
Set a lock screen password -  Open the  Settings
Set a lock screen password -  Tap on  Security & lock screen
Set a lock screen password -  Tap on  Lockscreen passcode
Set a lock screen password -  Choose  Pattern,   PIN  or  Password
Set a lock screen password -  Enter the  pattern/PIN/password  of the selected unlock method and tap  Next
Set a lock screen password -  Enter the  pattern/PIN/password  of the selected unlock method again and tap  Confirm
Set a lock screen password -  Choose  Show all notification content ,  Show private content only when unlocked  or  Don´t show notifications at all
Set a lock screen password -  Tap on  Done
  1. Open the Settings
  2. Tap on Security & lock screen
  3. Tap on Lockscreen passcode
  4. Choose Pattern, PIN or Password
  5. Enter the pattern/PIN/password of the selected unlock method and tap Next
  6. Enter the pattern/PIN/password of the selected unlock method again and tap Confirm
  7. Choose Show all notification content, Show private content only when unlocked or Don´t show notifications at all
  8. Tap on Done
