Trusted devices
To unlock the Samsung device automatically as soon as you get into the car, connect the headphones or connect to a Bluetooth device in any other way? With Smart Lock this is not a problem. Here we can add trusted devices such as radios, smart phones, TV, car navigation systems or any other Bluetooth device. If the device is nearby and the Bluetooth connection is established, the Samsung device will be unlocked automatically.
Note 1: The device is unlocked regardless of who is using it.
Note 2: Bluetooth has a range of up to 100 m. Within this radius, the device is unlocked, if connected.
Note 3: To select a device, it must already be paired with the Samsung device.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Smart Lock
- Enter Lock Screen PIN/Password/Pattern
- Tap on Trusted devices
- Tap on Add trusted device
- Tap on desired device
Trusted places
Whether at home or at work, the Samsung device can be unlocked automatically when it is in a trusted location, and you can add as many locations as you like.
Note: The radius around the specified location (address) is about 80 meters, so it may be outside your home, for example. Location signals can also be manipulated, which could cause the Samsung device to be unlocked by other people.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Smart Lock
- Enter Lock Screen PIN/Password/Pattern
- Tap on Trusted places
- Tap on Add trusted place
- Set Marker to desired position
- Tap on Select this location
- Enter Place name and confirm with OK
On-body detection
With the On-body detection feature, the Samsung device can remain unlocked while it is being worn. The position sensor detects whether the device is currently being held in the hand or whether it is in a bag. During this time, the device remains unlocked if the wearer recognition feature is activated. As soon as the Samsung device is put down, it detects this and locks itself automatically.
Note: The Samsung device cannot detect who is holding the device, so if it is stolen from the bag, for example, an unauthorized person may have access to the device.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Smart Lock
- Enter Lock Screen PIN/Password/Pattern
- Tap on On-body detection
- Enable or disable On-body detection
- Confirm with Continue
