Mark8881 I change the pin on my son's phone as he was not being responsible with it, but now I cannot remember what I changed it to and am on my last 8 attempts.
I don't want to lose all the details and contact a on it by factory resetting it

Unfortunately, to my knowledge there is no way around the lock. I'm afraid you have no other choice.

Mark8881 Oh right that's a bit of a shame as most can fix it using the PUK codes?

If this is the PIN of the SIM card, you can recover/unlock it using the PUK.
If it is a PIN of the device, which I assumed, unfortunately not.
