For quick and easy access to settings and functions, the Xiaomi smartphone offers the quick settings and, if desired, the control center. Here, functions can be activated or deactivated, or quick access to the settings can be granted. Depending on the user's needs, the order of the quick settings can be adjusted. Functions can also be added or removed.

Open Quick Settings
The quick settings on the Xiaomi device make it extremely easy for us to use it on the smartphone, which we can access by swipeing down from the top of the screen. We find many accesses to the most important functions and don't always have to navigate through all the settings, for example to (de)activate flight mode or WLAN.
- Swipe downwards to open the quick settings/Control center
- Enable or disable the desired function/feature
Edit Quick Settings
We can customize the quick settings on the Xiaomi smartphone to our liking by adding or removing icons, or changing the order in which they appear.
Note: In this guide we will only add a access to a function. Removing
or moving the quick settings can be extended as desired by tapping and holding the icon.
- Swipe downwards to open the quick settings/control center
- Tap on Edit
- Add, remove or move the desired functions/toggles
- Tap on Done
Enable or Disable Control center
The update to MIUI 12 brought a new control center to the Xiaomi smartphones. There, we will find the quick settings set to a simplified and clean overview.
To open the new control center, swipe from the top border in the middle of the screen.
- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Tap on Status bar
- Enable or disable Use new Control center
