Blackview BV4900 Pro set up the answering machine on new phone
my new phone will not let anyone leave a message, it just rings on and on then just stops ringing with no option for the caller to leave a message. i use 901 to retrieve messages but nobody can leave one.

In that case you would have to contact your provider directly as it is a network service.
