Blackview BV9900 Is current Blackview BV9900 Pro on BV site a new model

Msw4chl As of 2021-12-15 the Blackview site shows an Android 10 version of the BV9900 Pro. Prior reviews of this smartphone and responses from Blackview support indicated Android 9 is the OS for this phone.
Is this new release of BV9900 Pro for 2021, or does Blackview offer firmware updates?

This is just the software update to Android 10, the model is the same.
