Samsung How to Manage Folder on Home Screen

Remove app
On the Samsung device, apps can be removed from a folder simply by holding and dragging, but unfortunately there is no way to delete multiple apps from a folder at once.



- Open the folder
- Tap and hold the App-Shortcut you want
- Tap on Remove from Home
Remove folder
With Samsung, created folders can be treated exactly the same as app shortcuts, simply tap & hold to remove the folder from the home screen.

Create folder
App shortcuts on a Samsung device can also be sorted into folders, and when you create a folder, you can add more apps and choose the folder name or background color.




- Tap and hold an app you want
- Tap on Select items
- Choose all apps you want
- Tap on Create folder
Change folder color
For Samsung devices with One UI, the background colour of the folders can be changed. In addition to the predefined colours, such as the standard white, you can also select your own colour from the colour palette. You can also adjust the transparency of the colour.





- Tap on folder you want
- Tap on Color
- Tap on the colour palette
- Choose Color you want
- Confirm with Done
Rename folder
By default, folders on Samsung devices with One UI do not have a folder name, but you can add or change one from the Home screen.



- Open the Folder you want
- Tap on (current) Folder name
- Enter new folder name and confirm with Done
Add apps
If a folder has been created in any way, more apps can be added to the folder afterwards. Samsung offers several options for this. either the hold and drag method, or the simpler method via the edit menu. the latter is particularly recommended if several apps are to be added to the folder. a maximum of 40 apps can be added to a folder.




- Open the folder you want
- Tap on Add
- Choose all apps you want
- Confirm with Done
