Delete an individual message

In addition to deleting the entire conversation, you can also delete a single SMS/message on your Samsung device by simply tapping and holding to select and remove the desired message.

Note: The message will only be deleted on your own Samsung device, the message will remain on the recipient's device.

Step 1:  Open the  Messages -App
Step 2:  Open a  Conversation
Step 3:  Tap and hold the desired  message
Step 4:  Tap on  Delete
Step 5:  Confirm with  Delete

Delete a conversation

In addition to a single SMS, we can also delete an entire conversation on the Samsung device, which removes the entire chat, including any messages/SMS it may contain, from the device. It is no longer possible to restore it.

Messages on SIM card

With older models, it was still possible to store messages (SMS) on the SIM card, but this is no longer possible with today's devices under normal circumstances. The only thing left to do is to read messages on the SIM card.

Mark a Conversation as a Favorite

In the Samsung device's message app, we have the option of pinning a conversation with a contact at the top, i.e. marking it as a favourite, so to speak.

The individual conversations are usually arranged chronologically, i.e. sorted by time, so if you write a lot of text messages, you can fix chats, for example with your best friend, your mother or anyone else, at the top of the list.

Search a specific word

Whether it's for a phone number, name, address or any other information, we can search an SMS conversation on the Samsung device. One letter is enough to search the chat and matching results are highlighted with a white background.

Mute a Conversation

On the Samsung device, you can mute a conversation/chat with a contact, which disables all notifications of new messages. You can also turn notifications back on in the same way.
