Different types of lock screen are available depending on the Samsung device and model. The display lock prevents unauthorised persons from using the device and thus protects data. At the same time, it is the only way to unlock the device. If the unlock password, PIN or pattern is forgotten, access to the device is denied. The following types of lock screen are available on Samsung:
- None (device not secured)
- Swipe (device not secured)
- Pattern (Medium security)
- PIN (Medium security)
- Password (high security)
- Face (Medium security)
- Fingerprint (Medium Security)
Android 11 | One UI 3.0
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on Lock screen
- Tap on Screen lock type
- Choose Pattern, PIN or Password
- Enter the Unlock method and tap Continue
- Enter the Unlock method and tap OK
- Tap on Done
