I cannot find how to delete old text messages please advise

Do you want to delete entire chats or just single 'messages?
To delete a chat, type and hold the chat you want to delete and a delete button or bin-icon should appear in the upper area.

Sorry I only just found your reply - I want to be able to delete entire chats. e.g. people I text everyday, On my previous smartphone which was a Samsung Galaxy, I could just tick each conversation I wanted to delete and press the X and it got rid of the lot in one go. There is not the option to do this on the UleFone Power Six. It will take ages to delete one at a time!

I think it should be possible, by holding a chat, to highlight it and then delete it.
