Have you already checked all settings for the sounds?

Furthermore, I have to ask if Do Not Disturb is activated?

Checked the settings & made sure the do not sisturb function is off.

Still no sound wehn a message comes in.

Any suggestions?

Hello! check in Settings > Apps > Messages > Notifications if the sound is also activated.

Went thru it all but no change.

Today I restarted the phone & all is now OK now.

Guess I should have tried this in the first place.
