A Wi-Fi connection has a lot of pros, and not really much cons. It saves you a lot of data usage, and mostly it is faster than just a data network.

Step 1:  Open the  settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Network & Internet
Step 3:  Activate or deactivate  Wi-Fi

  3. Activate or deactivate Wi-Fi

Connect to a new Wi-Fi

If you have a new device or are at a new place, you may want to connect to a Wi-Fi network. You will need a password for this.

Step 2:  Tap on  Network & Internet
Step 3:  Tap on  Wi-Fi
Step 4:  Choose a  Network  and tap on it
Step 5:  Type in the password and confirm with  connect

  5. Type in the password and confirm with connect

Turn on Wi-Fi automatically

With this setting, your device will automatically connect to an already known network as soon as it is in reach.

Open network notification

Whenever you are out somewhere and there is a strong, free network available, your Android 9 device will show a notification to inform you about the possibility to connect to that network.

Step 4:  Tap on  Wi-Fi preferences
Step 5:  Activate or deactivate  Open Network notification
