On Android, the current date is obtained from the network by default. To be able to change the date afterwards, the automatic date and time feature has to be disabled.

- Tap on Settings
- Tap on System
- Tap on Date and time
- Turn Off Set time automatically
- Tap on Date
- Set the Date and tap OK
