We can set, which apps are allowed to use your mobile data in the background or is allowed to use the internet while roaming is on.

Note: If you deactivate background data for messenger apps like for example WhatsApp, you will receive your messages later or no messages at all.

Allow background data/roaming for apps - Tap on Mobile network
Allow background data/roaming for apps - Tap on Data usage

Allow background data/roaming for apps - Tap on Advanced network settings
Allow background data/roaming for apps - Activate or deactivate background/roaming data for the apps you want to restrict
