Enable app lock

To additionally protect the data or files of the different apps on the Huawei smartphone from unauthorized access, we can activate the app lock, which creates an additional unlock password or PIN that is required every time the corresponding app is opened, otherwise access to it will be denied.

Android 10 (EMUI 10.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Security
Step 3:  Tap on  App Lock
Step 4:  Tap on  Enable
Step 5:  Choose  Lock screen password  or  Custom PIN
Step 6:  Enable or disable  Use Fingerprint ID
Step 7:  Choose several  apps  to lock

  3. Tap on App Lock
  4. Tap on Enable
  5. Choose Lock screen password or Custom PIN
  6. Enable or disable Use Fingerprint ID
  7. Choose several apps to lock

Disable app lock

The app lock on the Huawei smartphone can be disabled at any time if no additional protection is desired, simply by entering the current unlock password or PIN of the app lock.

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Security
Step 3:  Tap on  App Lock
Step 4:  Open the  Settings
Step 5:  Tap on  Disable app lock
Step 6:  Confirm with  Disable

  2. Tap on Security
  3. Tap on App Lock
  4. Open the Settings
  5. Tap on Disable app lock
  6. Confirm with Disable

Change app lock password

The created app lock password or PIN is independent of the unlock password of the screen lock and can be changed at any time, the
only condition is the current password or app lock PIN.

Step 3:  Tap on  App Lock
Step 4:  Open the  Settings
Step 5:  Tap on  Password type  and follow the instructions on screen
