Set up Screen Lock with Pattern, PIN or Password
To protect the stored data on the realme smartphone, we can set up a screen lock that will be requested every time the device is accessed.
For this purpose, we have the following options:
- Pattern
- 4-digit password
- 4-16 digit password
- Password with 4-16 alphanumeric characters
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on Password & biometrics
- Tap on Set Lock screen password
- Tap on Continue
- Choose the Unlock method and follow the instructions on screen
Change Screen Lock Pattern, PIN or Password
To change the screen lock password, pattern or PIN, it is not necessary to turn off the lock screen. After entering the screen lock settings, there is a corresponding option to change or modify the unlock method on the realme smartphone.
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on Password & biometrics
- Tap on Lock screen password
- Tap on Modify password and follow the instructions on screen
Turn Off Screen Lock
If desired, the set screen lock on the realme smartphone can also be disabled again at any time, for which we only need the current unlock method (pattern/PIN/password).
After deactivation, the realme device is unprotected, which means that third-party access would be possible at any time. All stored data, such as photos or videos, contacts, messages and call histories, and other app data are also affected.
