Archived conversations are stored in the Google Messages app on the Android smartphone until they are restored or unarchived.
The archive can be accessed through the Messages app menu, and all conversations stored there can also be retrieved from the Messages app home screen at any time.

- Open the Menu
- Tap on Archived
- Tap and hold a Conversation
- Tap on Unarchive conversation
