Switch Between 12- and 24-Hour Time Format auf Android
Android decides whether to show AM/PM or a 24-hour clock based on the region tied to your current system language. That's why the format can flip on its own after you switch languages, even if you never touched a clock setting.
To force one format regardless of language, you need to disable the locale default and pick the format manually.
Menu path
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Date & time ➔ Enable or disable Use 24-hour format
Enabling this toggle switches the clock to 24-hour display everywhere in the system UI. Disabling it brings back the 12-hour format with AM/PM markers.
This setting only changes the system clock and default UI elements. Some third-party apps and home screen widgets render their own clock and may ignore the system toggle, so check their individual display settings if the format still looks wrong there.
