how do I setup voicemail

I haven't setup my voicemail, but it already seems to have a password as if it has been setup. My phone is supposed to be brand new, so I don't see how that makes any sense. I guess my question is how do I setup the voicemail ?

hello. voicemail has nothing to do with the phone itself at first. if a password already exists, it was set by your mobile operator.

Furthermore, there is no direct setting on the smartphones to set up the mailbox, only the voicemail number can be entered:

Open the phone app
Open the menu (three items)
Tap on Settings

To set up voicemail, you need to call your voicemail yourself. You can set it up from the menu. Some carriers also offer this option through an app or website.
