Network sharing keeps breaking the connection and reception is poor

I bought the phone for my son for it's battery specs and durability. He is sharing the connection at home for his computer (100mb unlimited 4G contract / SIM). The main issue is that the internet is breaking up all the time requiring reboot and reconnect. He had an old Huawei before which was able to do this network sharing without problems. Is this a known issue and can it be fixed with some software? Other issue is that compared to other devices, he seems to have a poor connection. He lives in a rural area in Finland but there is still good network coverage. This disrupts using IM / video call apps like signal or WhatsApp (problems especially with signal).

    Hello Netmonkey. King Kong 3 is an outdoor smartphone, it should actually offer better reception, but unfortunately this is not the case, at least not with the most "cheap" chinese brands.

    Regarding the personal hotspot: Is the problem only with the computer or also with other devices?

    Hi, thank you for the quick reply. I'm verifying the question as I'm not there right now. I think he mentioned earlier that "connections to the devices" which implies his Samsung tablet and laptop. However, I he mostly uses the windows laptop through the wifi hotspot of the phone which is the main problem as it breaks the connection and required reboot to fix.

    Hello, Netmonkey. Glad we were able to pinpoint the problem.

    My first thought would be DHCP. When setting up the hotspots you can choose whether the IP addresses should be set automatically via DHCP or static. This should be clarified first.

    Since my knowledge around PC + Windows is not the most current anymore, I will call in a colleague who will contact soon.
