Notifications aren't popping on lock screen?

My notifications are not working properly they pop up sometimes on lock screen but more than often they will not pop up. Most of the time I have click the apps and SMS sections of the phone for them to come flooding in. I've tried turning off battery saver and and app permissions are all set to yes so don't know what else to do.

    Is the problem occurring only recently?

    Has an app been installed that could cause this error?

    It's a new phone ive had for like a week and had the problem since the start only downloaded a few apps since I got it like fb messenger and what's app and couple of games life is strange and fm20 that's it

    Thanks for your answer.

    So there is no app installed that might set the device to standby in the background.

    Have you ever tried to empty the cache of the corresponding apps?

    I have the same problem. We need more support. I'm missing messages and other important notifications. Look forward to your response. As this phone is below my expectations.

    If the data saving mode is activated, this also prevents notifications from being loaded in the background.
