Camera has dissapeared

My camera app stopped working and would instantly crash when i opened it on my phone, i couldn't use it on any other apps like snapchat, instagram etc. I restarted my phone and the camera icon at the bottom of my home screen has just dissapeared and i can't find the app on my phone anymore. I can't use any alternative apps and they all just say "failed to open camera may be in use by another app"
Its still listed on my settings under apps but i cant find it anywhere else
