enabling 'notification icons' feature not available

I'm using Redmi Note 4 running on Android 7 nougat with miui 11.0.1

It doesn't have the feature to enable/disable the notification icons on the status bar.

This feature is disabled by default as I can't see notification icons on the status bar.

    Thank you for creating a thread and detailed description. Since you commented on YouTube that the feature was available before a reset, I have to ask if the device has been updated recently or if you set a different launcher?

    I'm currently comparing 3 different Xiaomi devices with MIUI 12 / 11 and would ask you to check the individual app notifications. (Settings > Apps > Manage apps > Choose app > Notifications

    I can't imagine that Xiaomi has disabled this simple feature on older devices and I'm trying to help you.

    yes enabling individual app icon notification feature is enabled, but it has no use since the main setting is disabled and can't be enabled.
