Touchscreen not functioning properly.

Hello,
My Mi 9t Pro's touchscreen is being unresponsive. It fluctuates on its own, randomly 'clicking' on some part of the screen, opening and selecting stuff randomly, but I am not able to control/operate the screen normally because it does not respond.
I have taken out the screen protector, wiped data, factory-reset, but still no change. The screen and phone overall are in a good and neat physical condition.
Really exasperating not being able to use my phone normally, I am only able to operate the phone via my external mouse/keyboard combo, and still the random fluctuations get in the way. Kindly assist with a resolution please.
