Set Up or Reset APN Settings auf Huawei
An Access Point Name (APN) tells your Huawei phone how to connect to your carrier's mobile network. Without a correct entry, your device can register on the network but still fail to load any data, even with full signal bars.
Most carriers push the right APN automatically when you insert a SIM card. Problems appear after a factory reset, a SIM swap, a carrier switch, or a manual edit that introduced a typo in the APN string.
To check or change your settings, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on Mobile network ➔ Tap on Mobile data ➔ Tap on Access Point Names (APNs). From here, tap Open the menu to see your options.
You can either create a fresh entry with New APN using the exact values from your carrier, or select Reset to default to remove custom changes and let the phone pull the standard configuration again.
Resetting is the faster fix if you never entered a custom APN yourself and just want the carrier defaults back. Creating a new entry manually makes sense if your carrier gave you specific APN, username, or password values that differ from the preset ones.
If mobile data still fails after a reset, the issue is more likely with the SIM registration, network mode selection, or a carrier-side outage rather than the APN itself.
