Unlock Safe with Fingerprint auf Huawei
The Safe on Huawei phones stores files behind a separate password, independent from the lock screen PIN. That password protects folders you mark as private, but retyping it every time you open the app slows you down.
Fingerprint ID can replace that step. Once enabled, EMUI checks your registered fingerprint instead of asking for the password, the same mechanism used for app lock.
To turn it on, open Settings ➔ Biometrics & password ➔ Fingerprint ID ➔ Fingerprint management ➔ enable Access Safe. If the toggle stays greyed out, no fingerprint is registered yet; add one under Fingerprint ID first.
Turn the same toggle off if you share the phone temporarily or if someone else's fingerprint is stored on the device. The Safe password still works as a fallback whenever the sensor fails to read a finger.
This setting only affects the Safe app. Screen lock and app lock have their own fingerprint switches and need to be configured separately.
