Enable App Lock auf Huawei
Unlocking a Huawei phone only removes the lock screen. Every app behind it stays open to whoever is holding the device, unless that app has its own passcode.
App Lock is a separate layer built into EMUI. Once turned on for an app, opening it always demands a PIN, the lock screen password, or a fingerprint, even if the phone itself is already unlocked. This matters for apps holding messages, photos, or payment details that you do not want visible to someone who simply picks up your phone.
Where to find App Lock
Go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Security ➔ Tap on App Lock ➔ Tap on Enable.
You will be asked to pick a verification method: Choose Lock screen passwordorCustom PIN. This code can be identical to your existing lock screen password or a different one used only for App Lock.
Next, decide whether fingerprint should also work: Enable or disable Use Fingerprint ID. Turning it on speeds up daily use, since you can skip typing the PIN each time.
Finally, Choose several apps to lock from the full app list. Each selected app now shows a small lock icon and asks for verification on every launch, independent of the phone's own lock screen.
Use App Lock for apps that hold sensitive data on a phone shared with family members, or for anything you would not want opened during a quick handoff of the device. It does not replace a strong lock screen password, since both protections work together, not instead of each other.
