Add a Keyboard Language auf Huawei
On Huawei phones the SwiftKey Keyboard only offers suggestions and autocorrect for languages you have added manually. If a language is missing, typing in it produces wrong corrections or no suggestions at all.
You add a keyboard language through the input settings: Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Tap on Languages ➔ Choose a language. Some entries list regional variants, so pick the one matching your keyboard layout.
Once selected, the language becomes an active input option immediately. You do not need to restart the keyboard app or the phone.
To switch between installed languages while typing, tap and hold the space bar and swipe left or right on the virtual keyboard. This works no matter how many languages you have added, without a dedicated switch button.
If autocorrect still uses the wrong language after adding a new one, open the same Languages menu again and confirm the language is actually marked active, not just listed.
