Add More Details to a Contact auf Huawei
The standard Contacts app on Huawei phones stores far more than a name and number, but the extra fields stay hidden until you open the edit screen for a specific contact. Birthdays, home or work addresses, company names and website URLs are all available inside the same entry, they are simply not shown on the main contact card by default.
To add these details, open Contacts ➔ Choose a contact ➔ Tap on Edit ➔ Tap on the details you want to add ➔ Confirm with Save. Every field you fill in becomes part of that contact's profile and syncs with whichever account is linked to it, for example a Google or Huawei ID account.
If you manage a large number of contacts, adding details one by one through the app takes time. Importing a formatted vCard or CSV file through your account settings is faster in that case, but only works if the source file is already structured correctly.
When a detail like a birthday does not trigger a reminder later, the cause is usually a disabled calendar sync on the linked account, not a fault in the contact entry itself.
