Answer Calls with the Fingerprint Sensor auf Huawei
If tapping the screen precisely is not always reliable, EMUI offers a shortcut tied to the physical fingerprint sensor. The setting for answering calls with a long press sits inside the Biometrics & password menu, right next to the fingerprint unlock options, so it is easy to overlook.
This feature exists for situations where the touchscreen is hard to use: wet fingers, thick screen protectors, gloves, or reduced dexterity. Once enabled, holding down the fingerprint sensor accepts an incoming call instead of forcing you to slide the on-screen control.
To turn it on or off:
Open the Settings ➤ Tap on Biometrics & password ➤ Tap on Fingerprint ID ➤ Enable or disable Answer calls
If the sensor already handles other gestures, such as pulling down the notification shade or triggering a screenshot, answering calls this way still works on its own and does not interfere with those actions.
If pressing the sensor does nothing during a call, clean the sensor surface and re-register your fingerprint before assuming the setting itself is broken.
