Enable or Disable Automatic Brightness auf Huawei
Automatic brightness on Huawei devices reads ambient light through a sensor near the front camera and adjusts the screen in real time. This helps with battery life and readability, but the adjustment can feel too aggressive in changing light, for example when you move from a bright window to a shaded room.
If you notice the display flickering between brightness levels or refusing to stay at the level you set with the slider, the automatic feature is overriding your manual input. Turning it off gives you full control over brightness at the cost of having to adjust it yourself in different lighting.
Where to find the setting
Open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Display & brightness ➔ Activate or deactivate Automatic. Toggling this switch either hands brightness control back to the light sensor or locks it to whatever level you last set manually.
If your device still misjudges brightness after enabling automatic mode, check whether the light sensor is covered by a case or screen protector. A blocked sensor often causes the display to stay dim even in bright rooms.
