Manage App Launch on Huawei auf Huawei
Huawei phones ship with automatic App launch management turned on by default. EMUI decides for every installed app whether it can run in the background, start automatically after a reboot, or wake up other apps.
This automatic mode saves battery, but it also throttles apps that depend on constant background activity, such as messengers, mail clients, or fitness trackers. Notifications can arrive minutes late, or background syncs can fail without any warning.
To manage apps yourself, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Tap on App launch ➔ Disable Manage all automatically. Once disabled, search for the affected app under Choose one or more apps to manage automatically and switch on Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background separately.
Enable all three toggles only for apps that must stay active at all times, such as messaging or navigation apps. Leave rarely used apps on automatic management, since manual control for every app increases battery drain.
If notifications still lag after adjusting App launch, also check the app's individual battery usage settings. Some apps get restricted there as well, independent of the App launch setting.
