Toggle Ad Filter in the Browser App auf Huawei
The Huawei Browser app includes a built-in Ad filter under Security & Privacy. It blocks common ad formats directly on the page, before they load fully, which speeds up browsing and reduces clutter on ad-heavy sites.
When the filter is off, pages load ads normally, including banners, pop-ups and auto-playing video ads. When it is on, some sites may show broken layouts or missing images if the filter removes elements that are not actually advertising.
To change the setting, follow this path: Open the Browser app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Browsing settings ➔ Enable or disable Ad filter.
Turn it off temporarily if a page looks visually broken or if content refuses to load, then reload the page to see if the issue clears. Turn it back on afterward if you mainly want a cleaner reading experience.
If ads still appear on specific sites after enabling the filter, the issue is usually the site's own ad delivery method rather than a setting problem on the phone.
