Set Camera Timer auf Huawei
The Huawei camera app captures a photo the moment you tap the shutter button. That works fine for quick snaps, but it causes blur or awkward framing whenever you are also trying to get into the picture yourself.
The self-timer solves this by adding a short countdown before the shot is taken, giving you time to put the phone down, join a group, or hold a pose steady. This function lives inside the camera settings rather than on the main viewfinder, which is why many users overlook it.
Where to find the timer setting
Open Open Camera on your Huawei device, then tap Open the settings. Inside the settings menu, select Tap on Timer and pick a delay of Choose either 2, 5 or 10 seconds.
Once a duration is set, the countdown appears on screen every time you press the shutter, until you switch it back off. A shorter delay works well for quick self-portraits, while the longer options give more time to arrange a group shot or steady the phone on a surface.
If you only need one delayed shot, remember to reset the timer back to off afterward, otherwise every future photo will pause before capturing.
