Enable or Disable Cell Broadcasts auf Huawei
Cell broadcasts on Huawei phones deliver public safety alerts directly from your carrier, without needing an app or an internet connection. This includes AMBER alerts for missing children, extreme and severe threat warnings, and the required monthly test message used to confirm the system is working.
If you keep getting alerts you do not want, or emergency notifications never show up during a real event, the cell broadcast settings are the place to check. Some carriers send test messages more often than expected, which can feel intrusive once you know what they are.
To adjust which alerts you receive: Open the settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Tap on More sound settings ➔ Tap on Cell broadcasts ➔ Activate or deactivate the desired option.
Each alert type has its own toggle, so you can keep extreme and severe threat warnings active while turning off the monthly test if it bothers you. Disabling AMBER alerts or threat warnings does not affect your carrier network signal or data connection, it only stops the phone from displaying those specific messages.
Turning off all broadcast types is not recommended in regions prone to natural disasters, since these alerts often arrive faster than news apps or push notifications. If your phone has no Cell broadcasts entry at all, check whether your carrier supports the feature or contact them directly.
