Change a Group's Ringtone auf Huawei
Contact groups on Huawei phones inherit the system default ringtone unless you set one manually for each group. This setting lives inside the Contacts app itself, separate from the general sound settings on the device, which is why it is easy to overlook.
To change it, open the Contacts app and tap Groups. Choose the group you want to customize, then tap More followed by Group ringtone. Pick a sound from the list and confirm to apply it.
Once set, calls from any number saved in that group play the chosen tone instead of the default one. This is useful for separating family, work, or friend groups by sound alone.
One detail causes most confusion: if a single contact inside the group already has its own personal ringtone assigned, that individual setting takes priority over the group tone. Check the contact's own ringtone field if calls from one specific person still sound wrong after changing the group setting.
This method only affects the ringer sound for incoming calls, not message or app notification sounds, which are controlled separately.
