Configure Personal Hotspot Name and Password auf Huawei
By default, a personal hotspot on Huawei phones keeps the name and password that were set during setup. That default combination is often predictable, which makes it easier for people nearby to spot your hotspot and attempt a connection.
Changing the name and password moves control back to you. Anyone who wants to join first has to ask you directly for the new password, and you decide who gets access.
Where to change it
Open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Mobile network ➔ Tap on Tethering & portable hotspot ➔ Tap on Personal hotspot ➔ Tap on Configure hotspot.
Turn on Activate Show advanced options to reveal the extra fields. From there you can set a new hotspot name and password, switch the encryption type, and limit the maximum number of connected devices. Confirm with OK to apply the changes immediately.
If devices still connect automatically after this change, check whether they saved the old password and remove that saved network entry on the connecting device.
Limiting the maximum connections is useful on top of the password change, especially if you regularly share your hotspot in public places.
