Copy Contacts to Phone, SIM or Google auf Huawei
Huawei phones can store contacts in three separate places at once: the device memory, the SIM card and a linked Google account. Entries that arrive through WhatsApp or another messenger are also pulled into this list, which is why the same name can show up more than once with different sources attached.
Copying a contact does not move it. The original entry stays where it was, and a duplicate gets written to the storage location you pick. This is the safer option when you are not sure yet which storage you want to keep long-term, for example before inserting a new SIM card or switching to a fresh Google account.
To copy contacts, open Open Contacts ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the settings ➔ Tap on Organize contacts ➔ Tap on Copy contacts. Next, Choose between Phone, SIM or Google as the source, then Choose one or more contacts and confirm with Tap on Copy. A final screen lets you Choose a storage location for the copies.
If contacts still look scattered afterward, check whether sync for the Google account is active, since a disabled sync can hide entries that were copied there.
