Huawei: Create a New Event in Calendar

Missed appointments often trace back to calendar entries saved without the right details on your Huawei phone. Without a title, location, or correct start and end time, reminders can end up incomplete or missing entirely. This affects meetings, appointments, and personal reminders alike.

Create a New Calendar Event auf Huawei

When an appointment does not trigger a reminder, the missing piece is usually one of the optional fields left empty while creating the event. The Calendar app on your Huawei phone stores every entry with its own set of details, and notifications depend on the start time and any alert settings you choose during creation.

To add a new event, open the Calendar app and tap New event. Enter a Title so the entry is easy to identify in your agenda, then add a Location if the appointment takes place somewhere specific.

Decide whether the event runs for the whole day or only part of it. Leaving All day switched off lets you set an exact start and end time, which matters for events with fixed schedules like meetings or calls.

Under Set more options, you can adjust reminders, repeat the event, or add notes. Skipping this step is the most common reason reminders fail to appear later.

Once every detail is correct, tap Save to add the event to your calendar. If reminders still don't show up afterward, check that notifications are enabled for the Calendar app in your phone's system settings.

Frequently asked questions

Reminders only appear if you set an alert under Set more options before saving. Without it, the event is saved but no notification is scheduled.
