Huawei's built-in browser ships with three privacy switches, but none of them are active by default on every device. That is why unsafe pages can load without a warning and why advertising networks can quietly follow you from site to site.
Safe browsing compares every page you open against a list of known malicious sites and blocks the connection before it loads. Do Not Track sends a signal to websites asking them not to log your visit, though compliance depends on the site itself. Block tracking cookies stops third-party scripts from storing identifiers that follow you across different domains.
You find all three switches in one place: Open the Browser app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Security and privacy ➔ Enable or disable Safe browsing, Do not track or Block tracking cookies.
Turning on all three has no noticeable effect on browsing speed, but Safe browsing needs an active internet connection to check each URL. If a trusted internal or work site gets blocked by mistake, disable Safe browsing temporarily rather than leaving it off permanently. For stronger tracking protection across all apps, not just the browser, check the system-wide privacy settings instead.
