Clear App Cache auf Huawei
Apps on Huawei phones running EMUI store temporary files locally to load content faster and reduce data usage. Over time this cache can grow too large, get corrupted, or hold onto outdated data that no longer matches the app's current state. That mismatch is a common cause of frozen screens, apps that will not open, or error messages that appear without warning.
Clearing the cache of a single app forces it to rebuild these temporary files from scratch the next time you open it. This does not delete your account data, saved logins, or documents inside the app, since those are stored separately. If the problem persists after clearing the cache, the app's stored data or the app itself may need a reset instead.
Menu path to clear an app cache
Follow this path in the system settings:
Open the settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Choose an App ➔ Tap on Storage ➔ Tap on Clear cache
The app closes briefly while the cache clears. On reopening it, expect a slightly longer load time as it reloads content and rebuilds its temporary files.
If several apps behave oddly at once, or storage space is critically low across the whole phone, clearing individual app caches only offers short-term relief. In that case, check the overall storage usage in the settings instead.
