Huawei: Delete Call History in the Phone App

If missed calls or dialed numbers keep piling up in your Huawei call log, you can clear single entries or wipe the entire list at once. Deleting the history removes calls, messages logs, and missed call records permanently, with no way to restore them afterward. This makes it worth checking which entries you actually want to keep before confirming.

Delete Call History auf Huawei

Huawei phones store every call in a local log inside the Phone app, tracking missed calls, outgoing dials, and incoming conversations. This log grows automatically with no built-in limit, so old entries can pile up over months.

To remove them, open Phone AppOpen the menuTap on Delete entries. From there you can mark specific calls, or tap Select all to target the entire list, then confirm with Delete.

This action only affects the call log itself, not your contacts or saved voicemail recordings. Missed call notifications tied to removed entries disappear too, since they reference the same log data.

Deleted entries are gone permanently and cannot be recovered afterward, since EMUI keeps no backup of the call log by default. If you only need to hide certain numbers instead of losing the full history, marking single entries one by one is safer than using Select all.

Frequently asked questions

No. EMUI does not keep a backup of the call log, so once you confirm with Delete, the entries are gone permanently.
