Huawei: Delete a Single Call List Entry

Clearing your entire call history wipes out every logged call at once, even the ones you still needed. On Huawei phones the Phone app also lets you remove just one entry, so the rest of your history stays intact.

Delete a Single Entry from the Call List auf Huawei

The call list in the Phone app logs every incoming, outgoing, and missed call. Most people only know the option to clear the entire history, which deletes all entries in one go.

EMUI also supports removing a single entry without touching the rest of the list. This is useful when only one call, for example a wrong number or a spam call, needs to disappear while the rest of your history stays for reference.

How to delete one call entry

Open the Phone app and find the entry you want to remove. Press and hold it until a popup window appears.

The path looks like this: Open the Phone appTap and hold the entry you want to deleteTap on Delete entryConfirm with Delete.

After confirming, the entry is removed immediately and cannot be restored. Deleting a call entry only affects the log itself; it does not remove the contact from your address book or delete any messages linked to that number.

If you need to clear the whole list instead, use the general clear-history option in the Phone app menu rather than repeating this process for every entry.

Frequently asked questions

No. Removing an entry from the call list only clears that log record. The contact itself stays in your address book unless you delete it separately.
